Daisy Amodio is the Founder of The Proposers, UK & Europe's first proposal and romance planning company.
When Daisy’s brother asked for advice on how to propose, she set about creating a once-in-a-lifetime proposal for him. She soon realised that there must be other people in the world that want to propose in a unique way but have no idea how, where or when! That’s when she spotted a gap in the market and in 2012 she set-up the 1st company that specialises in creative and personalised proposals.
Daisy believes that there’s more to proposing than just getting down on one knee, times have changed and so have marriage proposals. With the likes of celebs like Kanye West hiring orchestras, baseball fields and fireworks, and the pressure of social media, it is any wonder that proposals are getting bigger and more extravagant?!
Daisy plans bespoke, never-been-seen-before romantic events all over the world from £1,000 with the highest budget being £800,000. Her proposals have involved everything from hiring celebs, Disneyland, private jets and exclusive venues, to dressing up as cats as waiters, writing Marry Me in coral reefs in Zanzibar, abseiling into caves to set-up picnic’s & hiring James Bond’s speedboat! When it comes to The Proposers anything is possible.
The success of The Proposers has helped over 1250 couples get the proposal of their dreams and has doubled in size year on year with a solid 100% “she said yes” success rate. Daisy even landed her very own TV show on SKY Lifetime, the six-part reality series followed Daisy and her team around the world as they create magical moments. She also regularly features on TV, radio and national press about all things romance.
Daisy’s clients have included Sport Stars, Celebs, Arab royalty and HNWI, however, they work with everyone from all walks of life and all budgets starting from £1000.
Daisy has made The Proposers the profitable success it is today through hard work, determination and belief in a concept that has never been seen before, and as such, received many accolades for her achievements. Some of these include Theo Paphitis’ ‘best small business’ Award, Jacqueline Gold’s WOW winners, finalist at the national blog awards and the Mills & Boons The Romantics Awards. Daisy has also been a mentor for Dragon Den star Peter Jones’ Enterprise Academy, a judge at The Romantics Awards, Speaker at Bridelux, Planners Extraordinaire in Italy and DWP in Dubai, plus Daisy offers business advice to start-ups.
As well as a thriving business, Daisy has recently had a baby boy Freddie and is married to long term partner Henry. And yes before you ask…he proposed in an amazing way.
