Emmy Scarterfield
Founder and CEO | Emmy London

Emmy Scarterfield grew up in rural Somerset, the home of luxury brand Mulberry. Rather than sliding on a pair of wellies, she was sliding wooden blocks into her socks to create high heels, and it was the obsession for shoes that inspired Emmy’s path into luxury fashion.

Attending London’s prestigious Cordwainers College of footwear and fashion, Emmy followed her dreams, amongst the likes of graduates Jimmy Choo, Emma Hope and Patrick Cox. After graduating, Emmy kick-started her career at Marks and Spencer’s, learning the essential ingredients for successfully getting desirable products to market.

Making a move to Milan, Emmy continued her experience at one of the top fashion houses, Giorgio Armani, allowing her experience and talent to truly flourish. Emmy didn’t go unnoticed and soon after she was asked to assist fashion designer Stuart Vevers to create an accessory line for the notorious luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta. After five years of soaking up the skills and expertise around her, Emmy packed her bags and returned to the UK to launch her own luxury brand. The Emmy London brand was born out of a light bulb moment back in 2004 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Being a descendant of Charles Digby Harrods, the founder of the world-famous, iconic Harrods in Knightsbridge, entrepreneurship and luxury retail is very much in the blood. Since it’s creation, Emmy London has evolved over the past decade as a recognised luxury lifestyle brand, focusing on bridal & event shoes and accessories that encompass undeniable beauty, bespoke craftsmanship and quintessentially British style. While attention to detail is at the heart of everything the designer represents, it’s the hidden diamond on the sole of the shoes that capture the hearts of her fans.

2016 saw a year of celebrated growth at Emmy London. The new flagship boutique opened its doors in the heart of London’s luxury wedding quarter, Chelsea. Also, the designer proudly designed diamond jewellery collections exclusively for H Samuel & Kay Jewellers, natural additions to the ever-evolving Emmy London finishing touches.

Couture is at the core of the brand’s heritage and remains very much the crème de la crème of the Emmy London experience, offered alongside the RTW shoes and accessory collections which are sold online, through international stockists, and in the flagship boutique.

The designer passionately believes in pioneering the balance of pure beauty and comfort, intricate detailing, immaculate finishes and luxury materials. This ethos is immediately apparent in everything that Emmy Scarterfield creates.
